Truck Progress

I've had a bit of a busy week last week on the truck. I was working on it last Sunday 18th Tuesday 20th and Sunday 25th. I have had some good progress. The full cage is now fitted and the wings are back on after sorting a bracket to mount the wings on and keep the ability to take them off easily. Next job is to get it to paint and get the engine tuned as it still sounds a bit rough. Then get the accessories on.

Bracket for wing mounting.

You can just see the 4 bolts going into the wing in front of the door hinges. Circled in Red.

Full Cage Fitted. Light and Snorkel Brackets still have to be fitted but we are well on the way. Should be going to paint soon.

My brother sent me some grapic options for the truck. I think it will end up something like this. What do you think?

Landrover with an MOT

Well my Landrover passed its MOT last week after a year of building. What do you do after you have a vehicle with an MOT? You take it apart of course.

The wings were taken off yesterday to make way for the roll cage to go on. The engine is still not running great and so it will be going to a tuning clinic after the cage is on. The whole truck will get painted after the cage is on also.

With the wings off I was able to get in to paint the bulkhead repaired panels.

I spent some more money last week as well and ordered a Warn 9.5XP from Devon 4x4

This is the fastest lowline winch available and will fit perfectly with in the D44 competition bumper. Not long now.
