Verbier

Just got back from an amazing weeks skiing in Verbier with my best man Craig. It was great to catch up with him and all the guys and girls he is living and working with this winter. Thanks for making me feel welcome and the awsome skiing. especially Monday..........

Top of Mt. Fort 3300m (left to right, Mark, Amanda, Moray and Craig)

The Back of Mt. Fort 1st Pitch. (Craig Skiing)

Mark on the 2nd Pitch Behind Mt. Fort.
Craig at the bottom of Pitch 2 behind Mt. Fort.
The view from the bottom of the second pitch behind Mt. Fort.
(Moray in shot)
Hiking up into Rock Garden.
In Offshore Bar, Verbier (Craig and Amanda)

Yet another cool chute on the way to Tortan.

See the fracture line on the slope above Craig 1/3 down the picture. They had had a few avalanches the week before I arrived and things were starting to settle but I did see one very small slide happened right in front of me and behind Craig. We had beeps and shovels with us the whole time and thankfully never had to use them.

View from Craigs Flat. (2 red lines show a couple of runs I did. Rock and Roll is left hand line)

A couple of shots of me on the col above Valen Darb. An amazing ski tour run dropping over 1000m from the top of Mt. Fort to Savoleyres.

Thanks again Craig, Moray and Lynda for letting me crash on the sofa for a week.

Not long until Spring

Spring is definately on the way. Bruce is back from Canada for the summer and I hooked up with him on Sunday after a great few runs. 2 runs down the Braan and then a run on the Lyon with the D Unit. I forgot just how good the Lyon is. I will definately be back there soon. The Ammo performed brilliantly. A great wee boat for Tayside runs. It's good to have Bruce back for the summer.

Bruce on Pin Ball a Glen Etive Classic

I have heard from a good source that the Tummel will be on a big release for at least 12 weeks this summer. Bring it on.

Bruce and I have also been planning trips to the Moriston and other dam runs. As well as some of the classics that with a little rain run in the summer. Lower Braan, Lyon.

So I'm off skiing to Verbier tomorrow for a week. Off to meet Mr. Wilson. I'll blog it when I get back.
