How do you get all your physio exercises when you are chasing after a 2 year old all day. Swimming and eating fun today!!
Got to make time to do my back exercises or the physio will tell me off.

Due to something random happening with my emails being sent from my phone I missed the daily blog time yesterday. Using the ipad tonight so it should be ok. Had a great time before and after work. Motorbike fun..... Not as good as this pic from advrider.com however.
It is crazy that the end of Feb it is 15 degrees. Nice day to be on the bike.

After a fair bit of planning and tooing and frowing we are moving forward with to plans for the extension. Planning permission has been granted. Just building warrants to be finalised. A sneak peak at 3D images will follow.

Lights came this week thanks to Phil Bobinson. So girls in bed off to try them. Quick ride round the fields and tracks behind the house. Aye Up lights from Oz. It was the first time I've ridden with bike lights and head lights. Awesome. Wide beam on the bike and spots on the head. More night riding to come I think.

#53 bike ride

Headed up to loch ordie today. Really nice sunny day. Windy but fun. Did about 20km ish. Never been up there before. Worth going up there again. Lots of tree damage from winter storms but most of the trails were clear. Fun day out.

Well I got most of it done. But hey, dry roads 14 degrees in Feb. What you going to do? Dusted off the bike and took it for a wee spin.

Got a list as long as my arm to get done tomorrow and I've left a long list to do at work. Still won't be done by Saturday. Like the picture from long way down shows I'm going to have fun on the way. Wish me luck.

4. Is run over 6000miles approx
5. Almost 200 bikers take part
6. 430 teams take part
7. 200 support vehicles.
8. Sad news is there have been 50 deaths among competitors.
9. It would cost about 200,000 GBP to compete.
10. The race has been held in South America since 2009 after the 2008 edition was cancelled due to security threats.

Thus ends the Dakar top ten.

Well not a lot. In fact it has not even really landed. With any luck though it will have landed higher up. Skiing next week? Maybe.

#46 fire!

Bit of a crazy start to the day today. As I was driving down the A9 I saw a huge plume of black smoke coming from what looked like my shop! As I got closer to work I got more worried as it was coming from the area where my shop is located.

When I got there to my relief it was not our shop. Then my thoughts quickly turned to the business owner and employees for Wylie Recycling where the fire was blazing from. 10 Fire Tenders and goodness knows how many Firefighters were battling the blaze all morning. As I write this at 4.30pm there are still Firefighters and at least one Tender still in attendance. News is reporting no injuries which is good news.

#45 tents

Today was mostly about tents for me. Not staying in them but ranging them for this year's Brookbank Catalogue. The watersports catalogue is done and should be in store by the end of the month. We are busy putting together our first outdoor range for more than just contract business.

#44 historic rallying?

Rallying is too expensive but what about Historic Rallys with autotests? Cars can be bought cheapish. Mum had a mini when we were growing up and I've always loved them. Maybe not quite as much as Landrovers but they are still cool.

Clubs are out there and events are cheaper than stage rallies. Check out Saltire Rally Club.

I'm going to check out the Saltire Rally held on the March the 4th to see what it is all about. It is starting and finishing in Birnam. So worth a look.

Been a bit of a lack of snow this year. Been a bit crap really and not even been skiing this season so far. Season is not over yet..... Hopefully get a slide in before the season is over. Picture taken last season.

No. Dark foggy nights coming home right now. We are planning our interior of our new extension. Something like this is what we have to look forward to next winter. Mmmmm cosy.

I'm working hard at work just now. Just finishing for the day now at 8pm. We have lots going on. New computer epos sysetm coming in and a move in the next month or so. Adverts have been getting sorted too.
The best news or maybe it is bad news. A Greggs Bakery shop is going to be next door to our new unit!!! oh dear. There goes the healthy eating plan for 2012.

#37 day at home

Lazy day at home today. Much needed. The play centre needed a bit of tlc after the winds in January so it was nice to potter about sorting the roof on that with Lizzie running around like a dafty. Frosty snow on the ground right now. This photo was taken a couple of months ago.

My brother was competing in the SnoDrift rally last weekend. Check out his report here.
It's good to see his car getting a wee work out. He was driving well by all accounts even having been out the car and not racing for a year or so.

Good job and well done for a strong finish. Subaru's are the shout over there!!! Less than a week till  Sweden round of the WRC.

#35 cabin fever

With all this illness and a crazy week at work. I am suffering total cabin fever. I need to get out!! Work then home, bed, up, work is no fun anymore.

It is like a quarantine zone in our house right now. Everyone is ill in our household at the moment. Not fun but we'll all get better soon. Normal service will resume soon.
