#88 ardroy sunshine
An awesome day at Ardroy today. Sun was out and friends round to catch up. 5 kids running around well not all of them running. Lexie is only 9 months old after all. Friends I haven't seen for ages came round. Is this how normal people spend their Saturdays?

#87 fuel crisis!
Went off for a ride today. Sun was out and I think I picked a great route. From the house up to Blairgowrie for fuel. They were having a delivery so had to wait a bit. No hassle. People were filling up 5 quid just to keep tanks full. Muppits. They are the ones causing the problem.
So fuelled up I headed to Bridge of Cally then onto Kirkmichael on the A924 from there I stayed on the 924 over the hill road to Pitlochry and a stop off at Escape Route for a great coffee and banter as always. From there it was over the Highland Fling Bungee bridge the B8019 and up to Tummel Bridge passing Clunie dam and the Queen's View. Tummel Bridge up and over the B846 to Aberfeldy. I stopped off at the lime kiln and view of Schiehallion. Through Aberfeldy and up the hill again this time the A826 towards Griffin Forest and wind farm. Down the A822 beside the River Braan to Dunkeld and backroad to Caputh and home. great afternoon out.

#85 day off of fun
Had a fun day off today. Went swimming with the girls. All of them! Lizzie was a great big sister looking after Lexie in the swimming pool. Came home a played in the garden in the afternoon with a visit from old pal Phil Robinson. The evening was rounded off with a great skype call to a very good friend Craigy Wilson in France. Giving him lots of moral support for his arrival due in the summer. .....

but again I was inside working on the new computer system that went live today at work. Thankfully Thule has provided us with nice big mugs to fill with coffee to keep us going. Liz had a great time without me.

#83 sunshine
and I saw none of it. Inside working all day today and it was stunning outside. Still cold in the morning. Summer gloves on the bike in the morning was not the best idea. Heated grips might be on the list. Ride home tonight was pleasant though.

#79 thumbs up
Well after lots of pain in my left thumb since hitting a rock kayaking in November, I managed to relocate it last night while watching tv with a massive click/pop. The pain has all but gone away so it seems I am a doctor and have relocated a dislocation in my thumb that has been there for 4 months!!

#78 weekend plans
Heading up to the Great Glen Canoe Trail opening event this weekend. I've been busy at work this week planning for it so hopefully it will all go well.
I thought I would post some photos from when I did the trail last year. A really good trip to do.

#74 what to say
Quiet day at home today. Wish I was out doing something today, on the water or on the earth, but it was just garden fun today. Found this pic on another blog and thought it was cool. Quiet days.

#72 i live near a city!
Perth will become Scotland's seventh city after winning a UK competition marking the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
The town based its bid on Perth's long history as a city. The status was removed in 1975 as part of a local government shake-up.
Perth was one of 25 towns across the UK which applied for the civic honour in the jubilee competition.
Two other UK towns, Chelmsford in England and St Asaph in Wales, will also become cities.
Before the announcement there were 66 cities in the UK - 50 in England, five in Wales, six in Scotland and five in Northern Ireland.
Scotland's other cities are Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Stirling.

#70.1 unexpected iPad
Very unexpectedly ended up with an iPad today. Mum came in telling me her cousin could not fix my laptop and wondered if I wanted an iPad. Mmm let me think. Yes please..... 5pm iPad appears. Amazing!!!!! So obviously I have to blog from it!!!! Love you mum.
#70 where do i start
New shop pics from the inside as it is now. I have a total of 6 different contractors I am working with to get this project started and finished. Keys are still not in my hand and now I have just been told how much it is going to cost to get our work van fixed after last weeks fun and games. We also have a new computer system due to be launched in the next two weeks.
On the plus side figures are up from last year and the weather is still nice so that always helps.

#61 historic rally
Got to sneak out this morning to go and see the first stage of the Saltire Edradour Rally. It started in Birnam just along the road. It was great to see the short section. The top guys were doing it in under a minute. Everything from MG Midgets, Minis, Ford Escorts of course, Triumphs and even a really nice turned out Saab. Got chatting with a marshall about the event too. Nice way to spend a couple of hours.

#59 the big question
At work all we have been getting asked this week is "Where is your new Catalogue" Well it is here but we have just not got the paper copies yet. You can check out the link here for a look at a virtual copy.
Next week I am heading down south and will hopefully come back with a pile to hand out. We are really proud of this edition. It is about the 8th or 9th edition and probably the biggest yet. It still doesn't have everything in it. We still have an outdoor catalogue to come. We should have that done by Easter.
